Simple method for mid-infrared optical frequency comb generation with dynamic offset frequency tuning

We present a simple method for fully stabilized mid-infrared optical frequency comb generation based on single-pass femtosecond parametric that is seeded by continuous-wave laser. have implemented the in periodically poled lithium niobate crystal produces tunable across 3325 nm–4000 nm (2380 cm−1–3030 cm−1). The generates (idler) with known and Carrier-Envelope Offset (CEO) without need to directly detect it. idler CEO continuously almost half of repetition rate can be modulated. Together high output power (up 700 mW) low intensity noise (0.018% integrated 10 Hz–2 MHz bandwidth), this makes demonstrated promising many applications such as high-precision molecular spectroscopy, metrology, harmonic generation.
